Dilsat Dalkiran

Apprentice
Dilsat began taking Latin/Ballroom dance classes at ASU in 2015 while pursuing her graduate degree. What started as a hobby quickly became a passion for her and she focused more on the performing aspect of the dance. Over the next 5 years, she participated in many dance teams and performed at various events both in and outside of Arizona. Her knowledge in Latin dances spans from salsa, bachata and merengue to Argentine Tango, Samba, Kizomba and Afro Cuban salsa.

During Covid, she had to take a break from partner dances so she used this time to learn about other types of dances, including hip-hop, jazz, ballet and modern. She fell in love with the freedom in modern dance and decided to focus on that. Ever since 2020, Dilsat has been joining CAZO classes regularly and continuing to educate herself within this field.

Dilsat is originally from Turkey. She has a doctorate degree in Economics and works as a data scientist in the hi-tech industry.
