Matt Dlugos is a dynamic and accomplished dancer with over 19 years of training and performance experience spanning ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and ballroom. Originally from Cincinnati, OH, his extensive background includes national competition success, professional company work, and featured roles in a variety of stage productions.
Matt’s dance journey began at the age of 8 with the Northern Cincinnati Youth Ballet, where he honed his skills in both classical and contemporary dance. His training was further enriched at the Dayton Dance Conservatory and through prestigious summer intensives, including the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City, Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, and River North Dance Chicago.
As a member of competition teams at both the Dayton Dance Conservatory and Northern Cincinnati Youth Ballet, Matt earned accolades for his technical proficiency and artistry in solo, duet, and ensemble performances at regional and national competitions. His stage credits include playing the Prince in Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty, along with several lead roles in The Nutcracker, showcasing his strong stage presence and refined technique.
Matt’s professional career includes performing with The Tap Factor and training with Dayton Contemporary Dance’s Second Company (DCDC2), where he brought powerful and expressive movement to audiences. His choreography has been featured at both The Ohio State University and Wright State University, where he demonstrated his creative vision and ability to tell compelling stories through dance.
Beyond his artistic accomplishments, Matt earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Minor in Dance from The Ohio State University and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Arizona. As a Registered Nurse in the Neuro ICU at Banner University Medical Center Phoenix, he seamlessly integrates his expertise in human movement and wellness into both his artistic and medical practices, bridging the gap between dance and healthcare.
