Lisa Juliet

Lisa Juliet is a renowned dance and fitness expert with 40 years of classical ballet training and over 28 years of teaching experience. With a minor in dance and a major in molecular biology from UC Santa Barbara, complemented by a master’s in business and finance from the University of Nevada, Reno, Lisa’s diverse background is a testament to her multifaceted expertise.
 
After a decade-long career as a biochemist, Lisa transitioned to her true passion—teaching dance and barre fitness full-time. She was among the first to attend the prestigious ABT National Training Curriculum in New York City and has since become an IBBFA Master Level Barre Instructor and Teacher Trainer. Lisa frequently speaks and teaches at fitness conventions across the United States, both in-person and virtually.
 
As a founding member of the International Ballet Barre Fitness Association (IBBFA), Lisa has played a pivotal role in setting the standards for barre fitness instruction globally. She is also the creator of the international brand Ballerobica, a ballet-based workout that combines the elegance of ballet with the effectiveness of a barre and bodyweight regimen.
 
Lisa possesses specialized expertise in rehabilitating dance-related injuries and injury prevention. She has written 13 courses and training manuals on correct training procedures, class design for optimal safe movement, and pre- and post-natal rehabilitation. Her dedication to fitness and dance has enabled her to connect with thousands of instructors and students, sharing her passion for science, ballet, and fitness.
 
Lisa’s enthusiasm for teaching, combined with her extensive knowledge and experience, makes her a beloved and respected figure in the dance and fitness communities.
